invited the audience to a special experience — in a place where performances took place continuously for twelve hours. One artist followed the next, and together they created a soundscape in the middle of the city.

The aim of the project was to invite local visual artists who seriously expressed themselves through music and sound, and to offer them a stage. At the same time, the event was intended to serve as a documentation and snapshot of the Düsseldorf underground music scene. Furthermore, other artists from Europe were invited to promote the exchange and circulation of ideas.”

The extended duration transformed the event into a community space—for the music and art scene as well as for local residents and guests. It became a place to linger, exchange ideas, and share a common experience. In addition, the musical and artistic past of Worringer Platz was to be reflected upon and further developed. Conceptually, it built upon earlier projects such as the Single Club and the Ego Club—music clubs that had been run by artists at Worringer Platz in the past.”
